Jared grunted as the coffeemaker took a small eternity to brew. He’d barely slept. Roshelle had mumbled in her sleep as she tried to adjust to his presence in the bed. She’d squirmed away and he woke up each and every time. He’d pulled her right back into his embrace before going back to sleep. But that wasn’t his real problem.
